This Old House did a remodel a few years ago in Texas they called the Austin Green Project (episodes available online) where they achieved a 5 star rating from the Austin Energy Green Building Program. I haven’t come across that issue but once and it was the adhesive that was used to secure the linoleum to the sub-deck.
