Eastern Asia: While China may not be known for it’s tile work, decorative ceramics reign from this area. The Alhambra in Granada, where King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella gave Christopher Columbus the OK to leave for the new world, is an example of Spanish ceramic tile with a Moorish influence.
