We love traveling not only because we get to see amazing places but also because we discover amazing cement tile floors and wall tiles. Above, this black, white and grey tile design caught our eye. Like this look? You can recreate it using our Maldon concrete tiles.

Authentic Talavera pottery and tile reign from Puebla, Mexico. Saltillo tile, named for the region it’s from, is Mexico’s most well known type of Terra-cotta tile. Inside, on page 98, Granada Tile Company’s Serengeti cement tiles form the backsplash tile in a Los Cabos, Mexico kitchen designed by Chris Barrett. Oversized black pendants echo the cement tile’s visual punch while brick pavers and rope wrapped chairs underline the kitchen’s warmth.

San Lorenzo from Mexico was one of those brands offering great looks without oceanic freight. Some I had seen before at Cersaie or Cevisama. Some were from North American brands, and new to me. I’m very pleased to see it being produced closer to home. And, of course, the Spanish and Italians are masters at this!
