the change in elevation is the difference between the high one – where the wood flooring will get installed – and the low one – which is where we dropped the floor so that our stone tile would be flush set with the finished floor. This is looking up at the second floor on the backside elevation.

We knew that the bulk of the main and upper floor air handling was contained in a low roof that we were “planning” to turn into an out-door deck. Over burgers while standing around the kitchen island, the news that the ceiling height between two adjoining rooms is 1-3/8” inch off doesn’t come as a surprise.

These are images taken from my most recent job site visit up to the Northwoods of Wisconsin – the point of which was to document progress and construction. The image above is one of the guest bedrooms on the ground floor – it’s window faces south, but you can see that there are a lot of trees just outside the window.
