As one of eight designers selected to participate in the KBIS Design Studios , I was asked to design a Outdoor Living Space for a hypothetical Generation X client and I would like to share that design with you here. I’ve mentioned a few times about the wood deck that is outside and how it is a visual extension of this room – the two large window section between the columns on the right hand side of this photo are operable doors so that it is easy to open them up and move between the interior and exterior spaces. The kitchen is by Bulthaup.

Micro apartments are designed to be space-efficient as well as LEED certified or energy efficient. The large rooftop deck features views of downtown Seattle. The community club house next to the large outdoor pool is the social center of the development. The development includes plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy.
