Using a monochrome colour palette, charcoal-painted cupboards are complimented by stainless steel appliances and chunky, reclaimed wooden fixtures.

Concrete is porous, making it challenging to restore with new paint or another standard finish. Concrete is also porous, making it challenging to paint or seal, but resurfacing is a great solution. It can be used on a driveway with cracks, stained or chipped patio, and concrete floors in a garage or workshop.

Using five 40′ standard containers and six 20′ containers the architect created a house that cantilevers over the site. The house features a small outside deck that invites to step inside where there are hardwood floors, HVAC system, two bedrooms and a modern furnished kitchen. Many like to simply paint them though.
