Originally from Massachusetts, Ani grew up in a creative, artistic family, with parents who encouraged her artistic and making tendencies. After living and working in Kathmandu for five years, I came back to States, lived in Berkeley and had my studio in Oakland. Her father is prominent craft artist and hand weaver Sam Kasten.)
