Flooring retailers, Strahil Chernev and Sharon Cherneva, traveled nearly 5,000 miles from Fairbanks, Alaska, to attend the Alliance Flooring convention. Orlando—As Alliance Flooring celebrated its 25-year history here last week, it was hard not to focus on the group’s bright future. So, they opened their own store.

Obituary: Vincent Pompo, industry veteran

He was one of the founders of the Ceramic Tile Distribution Association (CTDA), and the third CTDA president. He worked his way up from the warehouse to sales manager. He traveled to Alaska a number of times where he hunted Carabou, Bear and other game. He was also inducted into the CTDA Hall of Fame.
