Flooring retailers, Strahil Chernev and Sharon Cherneva, traveled nearly 5,000 miles from Fairbanks, Alaska, to attend the Alliance Flooring convention. That feeling of acceptance was what prompted Strahil Chernev and his wife, Sharon Cherneva, to make the 11-hour flight from Fairbanks, Alaska—nearly 4,800 miles from Orlando.

Obituary: Vincent Pompo, industry veteran

He was one of the founders of the Ceramic Tile Distribution Association (CTDA), and the third CTDA president. He worked his way up from the warehouse to sales manager. He traveled to Alaska a number of times where he hunted Carabou, Bear and other game. He was also inducted into the CTDA Hall of Fame.
