For the present project that we are working on Vermont slate tile was chosen for the mudroom entry way as well as the half bathroom that is attached to it. Slate is a natural stone and you have to seal it before you grout. MYD | architecture + design. Cupboards Kitchen and Bath. Architectural Ceramics: Tile+Mosaic.

Marble is a calcium-rich stone, porous, has relatively low abrasion resistance,and is susceptible to expansion and contraction. Put carrara in one bath, and Brazilian travertine in another. It’s STONE, people, a natural material, and an incredibly beautiful one at that. LOL I have just renovated some of my place.
