We worked directly with Tartine founders Elisabeth Prueitt and Chad Robertson to design unique dinnerware for Tartine Manufactory — and the resulting collection available for purchase in our showrooms. We felt that the dinnerware should complement the food, of course, but also the materials and architecture of the space.

Fortunately, when we had a conversation with Tartine’s Chad Robertson and Elisabeth Prueitt,their ideas of the place they wanted to create presented what felt like a perfect fit for all sides. Even seemingly peripheral architectural components, like ducting and process piping, are a key part of the beauty of the building.

He came onto the architectural scene in San Francisco in the late 80s, a time when San Francisco was beginning to hollow out: former breweries, bakeries, canneries and other industrial facilities were lying empty as their former owners going under or fleeing the city for cheaper suburbs.
