When designing for a tile project, there are more factors than just color and style to keep in mind. Architectural Ceramics carries a wide variety of materials each with their own features. Natural stone is harvested from quarries and then cut to various sizes. Tiles are hand-crafted by pouring colored cement into a mold.

Q: We recently received some material with off-colored veining and unsightly patching and filling. There are numerous quarriers who have established grades for the varieties of material yielded by their particular quarry, and in those cases, there would be terminology that defines each grade. What we received is definitely not select.
