It’s called “rough in” because there’s aren’t any exposed finished pieces of plumbing exposed … this is all the hidden nasty bits that will be covered up with finished materials (like cabinets, tile, wood paneling, and painted sheet rock). No paint on these walls either.

I have taken apart cabinets so they could be sanded, filled holes, chips and gouges, painted millwork, and installed new cabinet hardware.
