Shipping Container Home Plans The standard container sizes measure 8’ wide and 8’6” high and come in two lengths of 20’ or 40’. It houses 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and separate guest quarters using a total of 7 containers. Each apartment has its own outdoor living area with integrated cargo containers as part of the floor plan.

Never thought about having someone come at me with a hatchet in the dark hours but I will certainly use that in my next floor plan pitch to a client. I’ll stop here, lest this tirade become more of a monograph–we’ll leave the deficiencies of kitchan and bath design entirely aside. I usually like to avoid that view.
