Eastern Asia: While China may not be known for it’s tile work, decorative ceramics reign from this area. Italy: Most people likely think of marble before ceramic tile when they hear the name Italy. The Colosseum was once clad in white marble before Emperors repurposed it for their own palaces and monuments.

But there are other things to consider, tile like many substances need some kind of trim generally, be it tile, marble or metal that comes in many colors. Marble and Granite we can grind and smooth outside edges but regular tile needs some help. Now that is just trim but tile depending on the type can really be a killer to install.

The walls are painted BM China White and the trim is BM Simply White (the window trim was unfinished wood). The backsplash is my favorite things about the kitchen! We decided to do this kitchen remodel on the cheap, so rather than tearing the whole thing out we kept everything. We had the cabinets sanded and painted.

5) This client had updated his fireplace about a year before I got there with some Carrera marble tiles, but the fireplace with those warm walls felt so "cold". I've recently had installed a magnificent Black Marble Fireplace and am in the process of looking at surrounds and mantels and thinking about the finishings and decor!

So the bathroom was all cultured marble and I had a pretty tight budget on this bathroom but we needed to add more than some paint to really make a difference.So the first issue I had to tackle was this SILLY cultured marble area of the floor I guess that was to protect the floors originally.Not sure? backsplashes. (1).
