Joel Jospe Architects have designed a private residence that looks like it was meant to be built seventy years ago. Huge wooden gates instantly change the direction of the design, although it’s hard not to see it as a potential public office building. Stone cladding and elaborate roof give it a grand modernist feel.

During the first half of the eighth century CE, near the ancient city of Jericho, in what is now called the Palestinian Territories near Israel, magnificent mosaic floors were created for the audience hall and the baths (hammam) of a palace, now known as "Hisham's Palace."
