Installing a slate tile floor. For the present project that we are working on Vermont slate tile was chosen for the mudroom entry way as well as the half bathroom that is attached to it. Now this slate comes in an assortment of sizes so laying out the floor isnt as easy as you would get in a standard tile floor.

Put carrara in one bath, and Brazilian travertine in another. We lived in a house with light counter tops and dark floors; I could never tell when the counter was clean and the floor always looked filthy. In Brazil all kitchen counters were cheap white marble back in the, 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s. Thanks for the article.

We delved into the interior design, looking for features such as hardwood flooring, stainless steel appliances, balconies and other modern features. Many of the modern, hip hotels like The Standard have beautiful rooftop bars with great sunset views. Interiors include Italian soft-close cabinetry, hardwood flooring and private patios.
