Here, for her client’s home in Maryland, Kaplan pairs a light sand-colored backsplash with a medium-tone gray countertop.

Pictured above, the 2012 DC Design House features Aidan Design’s work, and Architectural Ceramic’s mother-of-pearl oval mosaic. In the shower area, Architectural Ceramic’s Estrella Grande tile mosaic was used.
