Dallas, Texas—Daltile launched its newest porcelain tile collection: Cohesion—an assortment of concrete-look ColorBody porcelain tile. Price reductions ease resilient supply challenges

After months of price increases due to increasing freight costs, price reductions are beginning to surface. O ver the last two and a half years it seemed as if no product category was safe from the incessant price increases being felt across the board. As suppliers announced price hikes on an almost monthly basis, most attributed the increases to the skyrocketing cost of freight , which began to rise about six months after the pandemic hit the U.S. in early 2020.

USGBC makes updates to LEED v4

San Fransico, Calif.—The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) updated the primary version of the LEED green building certification program, LEED v4, to more directly address carbon emissions and climate change. The updates will raise the threshold of LEED v4 to encourage greater energy performance, aligning LEED v4 with the rigor of LEED v4.1, which raised the bar on energy and climate upon its release in 2018, according to the USGBC.
