I told Tom that we might be able to make the tiles and still meet his deadline. In this installation, the Leaf Imprint tiles take center stage to a backdrop of flagstone and peaceful, flowing water. The variation found in each hand-painted tile mimics nature in that no two hand-colored leaves are exactly the same. at 6:00 AM.

Let’s take a look at these time-worn treasures to see if we can create this intimate aesthetic in our own home: This is such a cozy country-style kitchen with open shelving, hooked rug, rustic flooring and plates on the wall. If a wooden floor in your kitchen seems like too much , then maybe consider adding a flagstone floor throughout.

I should probably point out that the porch floor pitches and has sagged too, but not so much that I am super, overly concerned with it. In raising the roof I knew was going to have to reset the roof’s flashing as it meets (a sidewall of) the house (the subject for my next post and video, btw). Things to Consider & the Prep.
