I came to the US from New Zealand in 2001 and worked as an industrial designer at IDEO for 8 years. I started Olli in 2010 after a visit to India where I worked with design students and traditional artisans. When and why did you begin working with traditional artisans and handmade materials? What do you love about it?

The installation explores the studios work in three displays: New Material Options, Color Options, and Made-to-Order. New Material Options presents the artists new line, called the BB&E collection, which uses a new hand-tufting technique and adds New Zealand wool and viscose to the studios existing offerings of Tibetan wool and silk.
