This was delicious food that I have been trying to find in San Francisco with limited success—until I found Nido in Oakland, operated by Chef José Ramos and Silvia and Cory McCollow. Shipping container doors painted an orangey-red adorn the walls. Incredible! A few months ago, Chef Ramos came into the Heath showroom to look at plates.

She went on to major in English at University of Michigan but also took in a full complement of art electives, like sculpture, printing, painting, drawing. . After living and working in Kathmandu for five years, I came back to States, lived in Berkeley and had my studio in Oakland. Tell us how your love affair with ceramics started.

I went to Pitt and lived in South Oakland and then in Shadyside. Sherwin-Williams Paint. Glad I caught it in time!
