After graduating with a degree in architecture from the University of Tokyo, Kengo Kuma completed a two-year postgraduate program as a visiting scholar at Columbia University in New York, before returning to Tokyo to complete his Ph.D. Izaskun Chinchilla studied architecture at Madrid Polytechnic University’s School of Architecture.
