The Perfect Bath

The title of the show was extracted from an 1820 document by Abby Breese Salisbury who described a group of furniture she had commissioned from the Boston cabinet making firm of Issac Vose & Son in the early days of the 19th century. This slightly random approach gave the cabinetmaker his own specifically American interpretation.

I have already compensated for its tiny size with vintage pieces, dark paint, a moody photograph, a single hole Julia lav set in chrome (though I can’t remember why the chrome finish was selected years ago) and a beautiful 3cm honed Danby marble counter top. Pendant lights are a great addition to any design.
