Completed in 2003, it was designed by Bohlin Cywinski Jackson and built by Don Tankersley Construction. Interior ceilings were raised and floor to ceiling windows were added, dramatically expanding the range of light that reached the inner rooms. A master suite, study, and south facing deck were added.

Not too long ago, we published a gallery depicting a penthouse design by Archetonic , a project where lightweight geometry was the key of a clean, modern design scheme. According to the architects, the core design concept was entirely related to spaciousness, creating naturally lit functional zones and a good level of connectivity.

We have been working on closing out the “shell” building (just the exterior walls and roof) portion of the project and really getting into the interesting bits of design. Once the existing interiors were removed, the building has a nice, clean, open floor plate to work with … the exterior is not so lucky.
