In the Northeast region, building permits in Rhode Island were down 1.1% Builders see inventory levels rising, with units for sale expected to take anywhere from 30 to 90 days to move—a much slower pace than what we’re seeing in the current market. In that state, the rate of new building permits was 1.3%.
