It comes as no surprise that homeowner Hampton Stephens is an architect by training, as demonstrated by the home’s sense of duality – a “main house” featuring a kitchen and living area, as well as a guest-room, and then a pathway that connects to the “bunkhouse’, which features 2 stories of bedrooms, including the master suite on top.

Located on the corner of Broad and Church Street in Charleston, the historic Hatman Building built in 1855 is considered to be the oldest hat store in South Carolina. We are located in the coastal region of South Carolina, and are often dodging hurricanes and tropical storms during construction. Kid spaces have always been a place where color and whimsy are embraced and celebrated, whereas in kitchens I think you’ll still see classic white being the front runner.

Kitchen Desperate For Change. This Kitchen was stuck and in desperate need of change. Stuck in a bit of a time warp, with the original hinge exposed faceframe cabinetry, linoleum floors, laminate countertops and a swing door that closed the room off from the rest of the home, this kitchen was screaming out for help.
