Her design on our Greenberg Bathroom Project won best Large Bathroom Design in the 2010 NKBA Southern California Design Competition ! The existing tub was too small so a large corner tub was installed with a beautiful Statuary Marble deck.

I was told that the floors had to stay BUT of course I couldnt find a perfect match, so I recommended we enlarge the shower and the tub deck and bump it up to the original tile floors.And it worked, they love it! Oh and by the way that is an air bath, which my client has already have several baths in and is in love. Very good!

I am sure at one time it was really nice back here, but the elements had destroyed the deck and them wanting something more substantial than an umbrella to get away from sun wasnt going to do it.

What I do know is the most satisfying proportions follow the golden mean, which is the basis for traditional composition and modern asymmetrical design. Classic mosaic patterns are a good way to demonstrate the difference the right scale and proportion make in the bath (and everywhere else in the house as well).

When I was it NY a couple of weeks ago with the Brizo folks, I brought up the subject of pot fillers to their designers because, though they are a fairly new (and therefore still pretty cool) compared to other faucets, they really seem to lack style. But a properly designed and good looking potfiller would be in my dream kitchen.
