Here’s another fun fact about art that might blow your mind: The most expensive painting ever sold was the “Salvator Mundi” by Da Vinci, at a staggering $450 million, or the cost of around 10 Gulfstream G-450’s, dubbed “Hollywood’s Private Jet”. Paintings are just one aspect of the art realm, and art is a very subjective term to many.

With a nod to that uniqueness, Daltile’s new studio aimed to blend colorful and intricate designs with bold statements meant to stand out to the denizens of the culture-rich city, a mark it hit. The Austin studio, which features a painted mural on the side of the building, is roughly 5,000 square feet, which is on par with other studios.

However, I did refinish the tub and paint the outside the same color as the vanity. In addition, because the bathroom doesn’t have windows for added natural light, I selected light neutral colors to brighten it up. You’ll notice the paint is gorgeous, and yes, my clothes are all stained now.

If you happen to be in Olympia, Washington, near Seattle, be sure to pay a visit to Olympia Coffee Roasting Co. , We love how designers are taking the idea of wall tiles beyond the backsplash and bathroom and bringing them into spaces where paint or traditional paper or fabric wallcoverings would be more often used.
