Color Scheme With all the different kinds of paint on the market, choosing a color or shade can be overwhelming. The good news is that paint color is easily changeable so if you want a bold statement wall then paint is a better way to do that than tile (which is more expensive and harder to swap out).

Every survey will show you that 80% to 90% of homeowners, given the choice and affordability, would want a hard surface floor—which the first level up is SPC. Ceramic tile can virtually be used anywhere—on a floor, on a countertop, on a wall, on a driveway, outdoors, indoors. I think we’ve reached the point where that’s over.

It’s hard to say what percentage of business owners use Twitter and Facebook -published surveys vary wildly from one third or less of all businesses to two thirds or more. Can’t decide what color to paint walls? Whatever the true numbers today, they are likely to be higher tomorrow. Find showroom. Why not tile them instead?

Survey the outdoors of your home and see what needs some TLC. For the gutters, you can go with vinyl which are easy to maintain and no painting or a more classic look with the copper but it’s more costly and more to maintain. A quick and simple way to add some gusto to your curb is with an old trick, painting.

We settled on a painted steel handrail with a wood curb and a wooden ledge (which is a really a place to set your drink … again, this is a lifestyle narrative at work here). Can you se that the top of all the structural members has been painted gray? Jumping on to painting a bit. Why do you suppose we did that?
